Welcome
We are a chamber orchestra based near Stroud in Gloucestershire. We enjoy playing a wide range of repertoire from Baroque to the present day, performing 3 concerts a year, as well as supporting local choral concerts and events. It's also important to us that we work with local soloists whenever possible.
The Capriol Chamber Orchestra is associated with Making Music
Our next concert

Saturday April 5th 2025 at 3pm in Holy Trinity Church, Minchinhampton.
The Thames Head Singers & Capriol Chamber Orchestra will be performing Cherubini Requiem in C minor and Beethoven Symphony No.5
Join us for this powerful and rarely performed requiem by Luigi Cherubini, hailed by Schuman as “without equal in the world” and chosen by Beethoven for his own funeral.
Beethoven's popular Symphony No.5 is a fitting accompaniment and a favourite of the orchestra.
The first public performance of Jonathan Trim’s composition ‘The Lake Isle of Innisfree’ (based on the poem by W.B.Yeats) will round off a wonderful evening of music by talented local artists.
Directed by Andrew Hopwood and Jonathan Trim
